Grammar Notes & Usage Tips

Use the particle に after a place to show where someone arrives (e.g., 駅に着きます = I arrive at the station).
Don’t use を with 着く—を is for direct objects, but 着く needs に to show the destination.
着く is an action that happens at a specific moment, so use it in the past tense when talking about when you arrived (e.g., 昨日、7時に家に着きました = Yesterday, I arrived home at 7).
