•Use が to mark the thing that cools down — for example, 「スープが冷えた」 means "The soup got cold."
•冷える describes something becoming cold naturally (like weather or time), so don’t use it when you cool something on purpose — use 冷やす instead.
•Be careful not to say 「冷えるを」— this verb doesn’t take を because it’s about something changing on its own, not something you do to it.
