Grammar Notes & Usage Tips
•Use 申し上げる when talking humbly about yourself or your group saying something to someone of higher status (like a boss or customer).
•It often comes after the particle を or と—for example, ご挨拶を申し上げます ("I humbly offer my greetings") or 感謝の気持ちを申し上げます ("I humbly express my thanks").
•Don’t use 申し上げる to talk about what someone else said; it’s only for humbly referring to your own actions.
