Grammar Notes & Usage Tips
•Use the particle に (ni) after the thing you're getting on—like バスに乗る (to get on the bus); don't use を here, even though it feels like the bus is the object.
•乗る is mainly for vehicles you physically get into or onto, like cars, buses, trains, or bikes—not for walking or flying (use different verbs for those).
•Don’t say "車を乗る"—the correct form is "車に乗る" (to ride in a car); using を here is a common mistake!
