Grammar Notes & Usage Tips

濡れる is used when something becomes wet on its own, so use it with the particle が to mark what gets wet (e.g., シャツが濡れた = My shirt got wet).
Don't confuse 濡れる (to get wet) with 濡らす (to make something wet); 濡れる is for when something passively becomes wet.
To say where or when something got wet, you can add particles like で (place) or に (time), such as 雨の中で濡れた = I got wet in the rain.
