Grammar Notes & Usage Tips
•When saying what you're teaching, use the を particle before 教える — for example, 英語を教える means "to teach English."
•Use the に particle before the person you're teaching — like 学生に教える (to teach a student); don’t mix up を and に!
•教える can also mean "to tell" or "to inform," so if someone asks for directions, you can say 道を教えます (I will tell you the way).
