Grammar Notes & Usage Tips
•Use を with 終る to mark what is being finished — for example, 宿題を終る means "to finish homework."
•Be careful not to confuse 終る (to finish something) with 終わる, which can also mean "to end" but is often used when something ends by itself, like 映画が終わる (the movie ends).
•When talking about finishing something at a place, you can add で, like 学校で仕事を終る (finish work at school).
