•Use を before 伝える to show what you're telling — for example, メッセージを伝える means "to convey a message."
•Use に after the person you're telling something to — for example, 先生に伝える means "to tell the teacher."
•Don't say 先生を伝える — that's a common mistake; remember, you're telling something (を) to someone (に).
