Grammar Notes & Usage Tips
•Use 来る (kuru) when someone or something is moving toward where you are (e.g. "My friend is coming to my house" = 友だちがうちに来る).
•Always use the particle に to mark the destination when using 来る (e.g. 学校に来る = come to school); don’t use を here—that’s a common mistake.
•When talking about someone coming with someone else, use the particle と (e.g. 先生と来る = come with the teacher).
