How to use Kureru: grammar notes
•暮れる often uses the particle が, like in 日が暮れる (the sun sets), so make sure to mark what is getting dark with が.
•To say something happens "before it gets dark," use 暮れる前に (kureru mae ni)—don’t confuse it with くれる (to give)!
•You can use 年が暮れる (toshi ga kureru) to say “the year is ending,” so remember 暮れる can also mean “to come to an end,” not just “to get dark.”
